!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Even though no XJS is worth five-figures, let alone six, that’s got to be a steal.

At this price, it would be cheaper to get a crap XJS and have it restored and converted!
Im guessing it would still cost more than $50k, at which point you’d still have spent $30k more than anyone should on an XJS.

It might be worth it if it was the movie car. (I know that we are talking completely different cars here) But this one is just a conversion done by some body shop. Maybe NP at 1/4th of the price.

Find one with a busted engine that sells for dirt. LS swap it like a certain Oppo did before he moved.

I am not okay with this.

I actually like it a lot. I think a lot of those shooting brake conversions ended up looking a little wired, but I think this really looks great.

Fun fact: at some stage the glass used for the rear screen was the one more commonly found in a certain version of the Citroën Ami 8.
Let’s imagine someone tries to break into your pride and joy while you are at the opera, visiting your incandescent lover or maybe doing business with some interesting characters to deliver RPGs to a third-world country pronto. Now you really have a problem! Likely conversation on the blower with your local Citroën parts dealer:
“Do you still happen to have Ami 8 saloon rear screens in stock? Export version, more specifically”
“Sorry sir, we’ll need a VIN. Let’s try, anyway. What year is your Ami then?”
“Er - it is not an Ami, it’s a Jaguar”
“What?!”
“Uh-ah, actually is not really a Jaguar either – it’s a Lynx Eventer”
[cue some choice Anglo-Saxon vernacular]
Click.
In other news it seems a certain Anna Mae Bullock used to have one while she was living in Germany. According to some sources, however, she just ordered it but never actually took delivery of the gorgeous thing.
Some people have posted extremely interesting b/w pictures of the very first prototype being built - just try Google images.

I seem to remember this sort-of-replica was done on a 2+2 body, which makes it less sleek than the
Harold and Maude
original (sadly lost).
